Saturday 14 July • African Caribbean Family Festival
Icarus
Patrolling the shores of the Festival will be our very own beach patrol. These upstanding giants of the waves need help finding out where
the surf’s up. But watch out, they might decide you need rescuing!
Tony Charles Steel Band
Join the carnival with Tony Charles and his steel band as they spread the sunshine around the site with their Caribbean tunes played on the steel drums.
The Carnival of Curiosities!
Watch this weird and wonderful human circus presented by Emergency Exit Arts with students from Shirley High School and the Street Arts Academy. There will be walk-about performances, created by young people from six south London boroughs that will amaze and delight you.
Sunday 15 July • Croydon Mela
Artizani
Howzat! Join our stilt walking cricketers as they take in all the action
of the Festival, from the boundaries to the stages. But give them a good innings; these aren’t your normal, cucumber sandwich eating
men in white!
Dhol Academy
As well as appearing on the main stage, listen out for these wildly energetic dhol drummers spreading their catchy rhythms around site.
Watch out for more fun activities on site… |
